Our Deepest Fear....This Is So Inspirational

To those persons who plan on starting a business but is deterred because of uncertainty and fear of failure, be encouraged.

I hope this quote gives you the courage & strength to look deep within yourselves, to realize the power that lies within you..... to make it, to achieve admist the obstacles, and most of all to be successful.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I'm So Excited.....Make Up

Today, I'll be featuring make up artists from the two islands, Trinidad and Tobago. Yeah, I'm talking diversity. Some of these artists I must say are risk takers, bold & very strategic in exercising their skills but in the end, they manage to create a good balanced face. Not sure about you but I use Sasha Cosmetics. Check out their website: http://www.sachacosmetics.com/. It works for me and helps to reflect my natural tones. Also see the video below of a Sasha make up artist in action: Foundation style.

Others may prefer Mac, Revlon or Kiss New York etcetera.

I guess your make up choice heavily depends on your preference and what works for you. Sometimes hiring a make up artist to do your make up may cost a bit but remember your wedding day should be extra special. In fact, it's a historic event so don't be afraid to go all out to ensure that you're truly radiant for that soon to be husband of yours.

Please check out my other posts on some local (T&T) make-up artists.

Honoring Entrepreneurs

After the highlighting the work of great Trinbagonians, I've realized how much of an impact an individual can make on someone else's life by just using or developing their God given skills and abilities. You can help someone by giving your service which will in turn bring you returns. It's like an investment or rather, like a law. If you want something, then "give and shall be given unto you." Celeste, Arlene and Ozzy has created lasting memories in the lives of different people because of their work.
By becoming an entrepreneur, you automatically create an avenue to contribute to the society. It doesn't matter if you're good at photography or make up or hair dressing...do something you love whilst helping someone in the process. That's how I see it. It's not all about the money, all the time. Be a problem solver.
David Tutera has a passion for event planning, he saw the need to use his skills to effectively plan weddings etc. Today, he is famously known for turning every bride's fantasy into a reality on the TV show "My Fair Wedding".
Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson and Steve Jobs all used their passion to make a difference. Having no formal degrees, they were focused, purposeful and determined to be the best that they could be and now they all have very successful careers.
I urge you to become an entrepreneur and start your own business today.

Amazing Tips on Entrepreneurship .....Have You Heard?????

Check out this video : SET UP SHOP by  Damian Junior 'GONG' Marley

Whoever thought that Damian Marley isn't a very wise man is very wrong. In fact, I think he's brilliant and showcased his in-dept knowledge of entrepreneurship in this video.

I hope you learnt a thing or two because he certainly taught me. Just in case you missed some of the lessons taught in the video, let me share a few tips.

1. Entrepreneurship deals with simple solution. For example ( A typical bride believes that she needs to look glamorous on her wedding day. This is where, the makeup artist comes in. She will use her skills to satisfy the bride's need.)

Hair dressers, nail technicians, anyone can set up shop.

2. You must be innovative. (Like many of the amazing persons featured on my blog.)

3. You must be determined & willing to work along even with your enemies. (One day they may become best friends, you never know.)

4. People buy thrills.(my teacher always says this) This is what appeals to the human need. Married couples purchase captured moments on tangible paper known as photographs that will always remind them of that special day.

5. Finally, entrepreneurship is about taking advantage of opportunities.

Just One More Video On Entrepreneurship- A MUST SEE....It Will Change Your Life

I watched this video over and over again, no wonder it went viral on YouTube. Society always preaches that in order to be successful, you must have a degree yet many successful great doesn't have any. They aren't restricted by the systems of education that stifles creativity and trains students to be excellent at regurgitation. Hmmmmm

The spoken word.

OSWIN BROWNE PHOTOGRAPHY

“Skills make you rich, not theories.”......... Rich Dad

Oswin Browne is a photographer of experience. He has developed his photography skills over decades, making a name for himself not only on the Tobago scene but regionally and internationally. Fondly known as Ozzy, his work is seen as innovative which reflects ability to think as a visionary. What can I say....this is expected given the fact that photography is his passion.

Oswin Brown
I had a personal encounter with him years ago. My friend was doing a photo-shoot and I tagged along for support. I must admit he is very down to earth, friendly, resourceful and easy to talk with. I'm sure he has a very large clientele. He also did photos for another one of my friends. He did the pics for her wedding and can I tell you, they were breath taking. Every time I look at them, I could vividly remember how beautiful the weather was and how stunning she looked as she walked up the aisle. The wedding was held on the lawns of a classy hotel in Tobago.

Ozzy has worked for the likes of Kenisha Thom-Selvon, a former representative for Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants, as well as many other renown personalities. He has also covered many events and festivals across the island. He's really good at what he does. You don't have to take my word for it. See samples of his work and contact below.
